This volume begins with three articles that address a topic of particular relevance currently, engagement. Juárez illustrates an interview with Wilmar Schaufeli, one of the pioneers in the study of work commitment and creator of the Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES). In it, the author makes important conceptual precisions with respect to said construct, while informing about the process of construction of the scale and its main properties. Precisely, and based on the application of the aforementioned instrument, Ocampo, Juárez, Arias and Hindrichs analyze the relationship between engagement and some psychosocial factors in a sample of workers in Mexico; and Flores, Fernández, Juárez, Merino and Guimet present the results of their research on the factorial validity of UWES in a sample of teachers from Lima, Peru...
