Expandindo o conhecimento, a prática e a política com a CID-11 para psicólogos e profissionais de saúde mental: uma revisão da literatura e análise crítica.

Introdução: Os transtornos mentais são distúrbios em vários domínios funcionais do ser humano que provocam aumento da morbidade e da mortalidade se não forem tratados adequadamente. A Classificação Internacional de Doenças, 11ª edição (CID-11) é um sistema global moderno recentemente aprovado para orientar a prática clínica desses transtornos e de outras condições. Estado da arte: apesar da iminente implementação desse sistema nos Estados membros, as diretrizes sobre sua base científica, prática e importância para a saúde pública têm sido publicadas de forma dispersa, tendo como público-alvo principalmente médicos psiquiatras; desse fato decorre a necessidade de unificar essas diretrizes em um único texto. Portanto, o objetivo desta revisão foi analisar três aspectos associados: (a) o conhecimento atual sobre o assunto, (b) sua aplicação na prática psicológica e (c) a reflexão sobre as implicações para as políticas de saúde pública. Para isso, esses aspectos foram divididos em 10 seções com os tópicos mais relevantes, e exemplos foram descritos para facilitar seu uso e comentários para promover sua compreensão. Conclusões: Este artigo apresenta uma revisão que aborda de forma abrangente a tríade conhecimento-prática-política dos transtornos mentais da CID-11.
