Mecanismos neurocognitivos da terapia baseada na atenção plena

Apresentamos um resumo e uma breve história do crescente campo de intervenções baseadas na atenção plena ou plena consciência. Nos últimos tempos, há um grande interesse neste modelo terapêutico para reduzir a vulnerabilidade ao estresse crônico e sofrimento emocional. O mindfulness requer intencionalmente focalizar nossa atenção nas experiências que ocorrem no momento presente. À medida que a pesquisa avança nessa área, é vital definir cuidadosamente a estrutura da atenção plena e entender melhor seus mecanismos de ação neurocognitiva. Este relatório apresenta uma estrutura conceitual que enfatiza o papel central do controle da atenção e dos mecanismos de sustentabilidade para desenvolver habilidades de conscientização completa. Além disso, revisamos a estrutura da atenção plena e a auto-regulação das emoções; Em seguida, descrevemos brevemente nossa pesquisa relacionada ao nosso Programa de Redução do Estresse no Câncer de Mama baseado na Atenção Plena (MBSR-AC) na University of South Florida. Apresentamos, com base nessa premissa, um modelo proposto que explica nossos mecanismos cognitivos com base na lógica do modelo biocomportamental.
