Estilos de defesa predominantes em relação a experiências anormais / paranormais

Resumo

O conceito de mecanismos de defesa tem suas origens na teoria psicanalítica, que se concentra mais sobre o processo das defesas que o alvo das defesas. Este estudo analisou as diferenças entre os indivíduos que têm experiências anormais / paranormais e três estilos defensiva (fator maduro, neurótico e imaturo) e que não tiveram tais experiências. estudantes universitários (60% do sexo feminino e 40% do sexo masculino, idade média = 33,87 anos) receberam Styles Questionnaire Defesa (DSQ-40) e dez perguntas explorar várias experiências anômalas / paranormais. pessoas relataram uma alta freqüência de experiências como deja-vu, sonhos de percepção extra-sensorial (ESP), telepatia e memórias de vidas passadas. os resultados também apresentaram níveis mais elevados de experiências paranormais e defesas maduras, bem como as defesas neuróticas, em comparação com indivíduos sem experiência, embora a natureza do estudo seja francamente Exploratória, o autor sugere que algumas dessas experiências atribuídos a causas paranormais parecem servir como um mecanismo de proteção a eventos potencialmente traumáticos, melhorar o bem-estar subjetivo do indivíduo ou - pelo menos, evitar ou reduzir as consequências disruptivas de eventos negativos da vida . Portanto, as experiências paranormais podem corresponder a características não patológicas que produzem mudanças na "homeostase" psicológica.
